June update
June update
Just a short update this month as Judith and I have been away for 10 days. A visit to France, with quite a bit of rain! It is so frustrating that it has been lovely back here – but wonderful too.
The most immediate event is our rescheduled pub visit on next Wednesday, 28th June. We are back at The Red Lion in Lacock for 12 midday. That way we can have a drink and have our food served before it gets too busy. I know most families have already spoken to Lynne and chosen from the menu. If anyone is still unsure, we have a few places still available, but Lynne needs to let the pub know numbers and meals on Monday afternoon. Any changes or additions, please let us know.
We will be transporting residents on the minibus, so we shall see you all there.
A reminder from last month’s update for our Family Tea Party in August.
Following the success of last year’s tea party, we hope that you and your wider family are able to join us at this year’s event. We will organise some musical entertainment and of course, will provide tea and cakes for everyone and some ice creams for any children who may like to come along. It will be a very informal event. so residents, families and staff can get to know each other.
Saturday 5th August – Family Tea Party – 2.30-4.30pm.
Last year we had to limit the numbers with Covid still lingering, so hopefully this year, it will not be a problem. However, could you please let us know if you are able to join, so that Helen & Judith can manage the cake production.
In September, we will be out for a Cream Tea at Bowood. We will let you know the date once it has been firmed up.
The next Residents’ Meeting will be on Friday 21st July at 11:15 am. As always, minutes will be shared with everyone.
We will also be running our annual Quality Survey in July. Just a simple set of questions to make sure we are doing everything we can for our residents, families and staff. Once it is open, we will send out both paper and electronic versions.
And finally, we will be welcoming three new residents over the next couple of weeks. I am sure everyone will give them a very warm welcome.
