Spring Has Sprung and Warm News at The Priory Care Home! ☀️

Welcome to the March edition of our newsletter! We’ve had a delightful month at The Priory, filled with the sunshine of spring, heartwarming Mother’s Day celebrations, and exciting news about new ownership. We’re excited to share it all with you, our valued residents and families.

Spring Has Sprung:

Spring has finally arrived! We’ve been enjoying the warmer weather with walks in the garden, soaking up the sunshine, and enjoying the beautiful blooming flowers planted by our very own John, (the Priory Gardener). Remember to stay hydrated as the temperature rises and let us know if you need help refilling your water bottle.

Mother’s Day Delights:

Mother’s Day was a truly special occasion. We showered our residents, who are mothers themselves or like mothers to us, with love and appreciation. Residents enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea with homemade treats and reminisced about cherished memories.

Exciting News: Welcome, Vishal Chandnani!

We have some exciting news to share! The Priory has recently transitioned to new ownership under Vishal Chandnani. Vishal comes from an aviation background and has extensive experience as a business owner. He shares a deep passion for the care sector and was immediately impressed by The Priory’s beautiful setting and dedicated staff. With great respect for the work done by the previous owners, Mark & Judith Allworth, Vishal aims to build upon their foundation and continues to provide exceptional care for all our residents.

A Word from Vishal Chandnani:

“I am incredibly honoured to be entrusted with the stewardship of The Priory. I am committed to maintaining the high standards of care established by the previous owners and look forward to working with the dedicated staff to further enhance the resident experience. My vision is to create a truly vibrant and enriching environment where residents feel loved, supported, and empowered to live their best lives.”

Dates for the Diary:

  • Residents’ Meeting: Thursday, March 14th at 11:15 AM. If you would like to attend, please let Lynne know.
  • Trip Ideas: As the weather gets better, we’d love to hear your ideas or suggestions for outings!
  • Entertainment: We’re always looking for new ways to keep you entertained. Do you have any ideas or know of any performers we could invite? Please pass on any information to Lynne and Rachael.

Looking Ahead to Easter:

Get ready for some egg-cellent fun in the next few weeks! We’ll be arranging chocolate treats and decorating the home with Easter bunnies and chicks. There will even be an Easter egg hunt organized by Rachael and the team!

In Memoriam: Winnie

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear resident, Winnie. Winnie enjoyed sitting in the lobby and watching everyone come and go. Winnie’s family was a great source of support, and both Winnie and The Priory community cherished our family evenings, especially bonfire night. Winnie will be sadly missed.

Warm Welcomes:

A big, warm welcome to our new residents, Peter Stickland, Florence Goodway, and Adele Bartlett! We hope you settle in quickly and make many new friends here at The Priory.

Thank you for reading! We hope you enjoyed this glimpse into life at The Priory. We look forward to creating more joyful memories with you in the month ahead.
